Meet Me There

Meet The Traveling Ones

From the moment Justin and Emily met at an open mic in Austin, TX, they knew they had a special connection. What started as a romantic relationship quickly blossomed into a music career that the two dove into hand-in-hand.  Whether you see them as a duo or with the full band, it’s hard to deny the chemistry that Emily and Justin share on stage.

With shared influences that span decades and genres (Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, The Black Crowes, The Beatles) the duo’s music is more about heart than labels or boundaries.

Justin's iconic slide guitar adds another voice to the duo's already rich and soulful harmonies. Their music exhibits a consistently laid-back pattern of soulful blues-rock while maintaining their songwriting roots. “Like the sentimental ballads from Jason Isbell and Ryan Adams, the Traveling One’s style of Americana is rich in harmony and full of character,” wrote Tour Worthy of the couple’s unique, earthy sound.

In February of 2017 they released their debut album, Meet Me There, and shortly after relocated to Nashville, TN where they now call home. The two are working on writing and recording their sophomore album. Planning on a 2019 release The Traveling Ones look forward to making a splash in the Americana scene.
